ISLAMABAD, Dec 24: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (F) Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has resigned as chief whip of the ruling coalition in the Senate.
Senator Haideri told Dawn News that he had sent the resignation to Senate Chairman Farooq H. Naek.
He said the JUI had now completely separated from the government and would not reverse its decision.
“The JUI has made it clear to the president and the prime minister that the decision to leave the government was firm and final and the government should not bother us,” Senator Haideri said
