NAWABSHAH, Dec 22: Activists of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement held various functions in Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas, Naushahrao Feroze and adjoining towns on Wednesday as part of mobilisation drive for the party’s public meeting at Bhit Shah on Dec 25.
Zonal In-charge of MQM Shiraz Masood said at a press conference that the meeting would help create unity and harmony among people of the land of Sufis and claimed that MQM was the only party struggling against feudal system.
In Mirpurkhas and adjoining towns including Mirwah Gorchani, Digri, Jhuddo, Tando Jan Mohammad, Kot Ghulam Mohammad and Naukot, MQM activists have set up camps and hoisted party flags along different roads and main roundabouts inviting people to participate in the party convention.
In Naushahro Feroze, MQM activists took out a procession in Moro to create awareness among people about their problems and invite them to attend the public meeting.
People in cars and on motorcycles took part in the procession which drove on different roads before reaching the press club where the participants held a demonstration.
